Aku pake Ubuntu 9.04 tiap ngprint popupnya bilang printing sukses, tapi faktanya ga ada kertas yang di tarik printer ato di tulisnya. aku cek volum tintanya pake “Inkblot” laporanya tinta hitam kosong padahal cartridge baru beli “bukan ori”.
Ada yang punya solusinya ga…??
Note : aku dah reset manual ternyata ga berhasil. kalo pake win bisa ngprint. Tapi Capek bang bolak-balik Win –> Linux –> Win –> Linux.

How to clear E27 Code
* With the printer powered off but connected to a power source, press the Power button while pressing and holding the Stop/ Reset button.
* When the Power is lit, press the Stop/Reset button two times while pressing and holding the Power button.
* When releasing the Power button and the Stop / Reset button (regardless of order), the printer will move into a service mode. (Waiting for menu selection)
* When the on/off lights in green, press the Stop/Reset button the specified number of time(s) according to the function listed in the table below.(Each time the Stop/Reset button is pressed, the LED lights alternately in orange and green, starting with orange.)note: press 4 times for waste ink counter reset.

Pernah ngalamin hal seperti ini udah kelar isi tinta printer trus gak bisa print kata komputernya sih.. cartridgenya error na.. kalo buat fixednya mudah kok cuma jalanin step-step ini kelar deh.. problemnya udah aku coba dan berhasil. Stepnya sebagai berikut :Step 1 Push Power switch by continue (Tekan Power On/Off)
Step 2 inserrt plug(Masukan Power, Power Tetap di Tekan)
step 3 Tekakan Tombol Reset 1x, lepaskan Tombol Pwr, Tekan Reset sekali lagi Sampai Menjadi “0?
Step 4 Push + display change from “0? to “1?(tekan tmbl + Untk merubh ‘0′ ke ‘1′)
Step 5 Push Power switch again , Printer will be print 1 page(tekan tmbl pwr –> tmbl start sampai ngeprint 1 hal.)
step 6 Open cover(buka tutup printer)
Step 7 unplug(cabut kabel power)
Step 8 Take out ink 40 and 41(lepaskan catridge 40 dan 41)
Step 9 Insert plug again(pasang kabel power)
Step 10 Push power switch(tekan tmbl power)
Step 11 Open cover (scan cover)(buka tutup scaner)
Step 12 Inksert ink 40 , 41 again(masukan catridge 40 dan 41)
Printer will be not alaram low ink and not shown error code “E5?

Canon Printer Error Code 5100

Summary:
Generally, error code 5100 is error code of blinking error in orange/green 2 times. Both these symptom due to the same problem: carriage error (also known as CR error. CR= Carriage Return).

As a technician, I have worked on tons of printers. This particular error had stumped me for a while, but I finally found the cause. As others had pointed out before, it can have alot to do with some obstruction in the print path, the gears, or ink on the clear plastic encoder strip. You’re on the right track – I found the the purge cap (the white sliding mechanism that the print head parks to when it’s not in use) was not lubricated well enough from factory. If you lubricate the sliders with some white grease (don’t get it on the small wipers or the black caps) the mechanism can now slide more freely, and the unit can park the head properly without giving you the dreaded head homing error 5100 (or E-2-2 on the LCD display) Keep in mind that this repair will probably require you to remove the right panel off of the printer to gain access to the purge mechanism. There are two screws behind the printer, and two in front for each corrosponding side panel (the front screws are behind the grey front panel of the printer – open the top cover to see the clips which hold the front cover on) Hope this helps some of you out.
